Beit Hillel, Attentive Spiritual Leadership, is a Torah leadership organization made up of over 170 Religious-Zionist Rabbanim and Rabbaniot located throughout Israel, each and every one serving in meaningful Torah leadership community roles. The organization emerged from the need to make our voices heard and to stimulate action and discourse of moderate, balanced Torah leadership open to listening to Israeli and world Jewry needs and challenges.
Beit Hillel believes in the eternity of Torat Yisrael and is deeply committed to Halacha, Jewish law, and works to develop and instill it in Israeli society while playing the voice of a tolerant and welcoming Judaism, a Judaism that is conducted in a pleasant and relevant way to today’s Israeli and Jewish society.
One of the central goals of Beit Hillel is to deal in a profound, sincere, and courageous manner with the question of women’s place in the community, Beit Midrash, Torah leadership and the synagogue. In this framework, we believe in increasing the involvement of women in the study and teaching of Torah, in sharing communal and public leadership roles and in strengthening their share within the Jewish world.
